Nikah-e-Aisha is an Urdu treatise in which the author argues that the marriage contract of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, was made when she was six and that she entered the household at nine. He marshals thirty hadiths, eleven reasons of wisdom and five records, and answers the objections that have been raised against the traditional account.
Nikah-e-Aisha is sixty-four pages on a single question of chronology: how old ʿĀʾisha رضي الله عنها was when her marriage to the Prophet ﷺ was contracted. The book’s answer, which is its title, is that the contract was made at six and that she entered the household at nine, and the whole of it is given over to establishing that and to answering what has been said against it. It is the most recent work in this collection, printed in August 2025.
The method is the one he uses everywhere. A list of the sources consulted comes first, then what the contents page calls the abundance of hadiths, thirty of them, and only then the argument. Beside the hadiths he sets out eleven maṣlaḥats, reasons of wisdom for which the marriage was made when it was, and five records.
Several sections answer particular objections rather than making the case afresh. He holds that the comparison drawn between her age and Asmāʾ’s is not sound. He argues that what the early contract secured was her early entry into the Prophet’s household as a student, and points to the senior Companions afterwards bringing their questions on points of law to her. The last sections turn to objections made from outside the tradition, and it is here that the five records are brought in.
